Medical Motherhood's Y4Q2 quarterly update!

I hope you’re having a lovely summer! It’s time for your quarterly update and behind-the-scenes look at Medical Motherhood.
You know, one of the things I have noticed is a tendency for folks to treat journalism as a public good. And, it is, in all ways — except public funding.
I have been asked many times to take on various reporting and investigative projects. There is so much need for that in our disability community. And there are so few journalists who understand — or are willing to dig into — the policies and nuances involved. Sadly, many of those same people who ask me to do large amounts of work are also not paid subscribers. This is absolutely not a pay-for-play transactional relationship, but it does make me wonder if they understand how much work is involved in writing, researching and reporting. But YOU do, paid subscribers, so thank you!
